Step Into The Siege of Oxford This June

Step back in time this June and experience the drama, danger, and daily life of Oxford under siege during the English Civil War.

From 21st June, Oxford Castle & Prison's brand-new interactive trail invites you to explore the historic grounds, uncover 17th-century secrets, and discover what life was really like during one of the most turbulent chapters in Oxford’s past.

Young recruits (aged over seven) can join the Earl of Manchester's Regiment of Foote for an action-packed reenactment of the war, see and learn about civial war arms like the pike and muskey, hear the thunder drums of war, become a trained soldier or spy and enjoy themed crafts.
